Neglected but not forgotten

Not much to write about here lately. Still waiting for google to give this site a break. I think the directory must have gotten hammered with some sort of penalty or something. With contantly change algos and the constant battle with spam sites it is no wonder. I have read many forums that offer may theories (some of which seem just plain stupid to me) but few facts with hard evidence to back them up. So as is recommended by google I think I will focus on users and hope google show me a little more love soon.

I am considering turning the comments feature on for this blog. I think I should install the anti-spam plug-in first. I doubt any useful comments would result anyway. I guess I could post comments myself but that seems sort of pointless since I can simply modify the post. Oh well just a thought. Not too active on here anyway so it doesn’t much matter.

Checking into several possible verticle markets to include in the directory. A little research still needs to be completed but here is a short list of markets we are considering.

If done properly exchanging links with relevant sites can be a great way to promote a website. If done improperly it can actually cause more harm than good. If it’s worth doing it’s worth doing right.

Reciprocal links directory added

The reciprocal or partner links directory is intended to satisfy demand for link exchanges. The main directory will not be supported through exchanges. However this gives all webmasters a place to add a link to their site. The directory will be automated once proven to be reliable & accurate. Until then all submissions will be reviewed and approved (or rejected). Too much automation could lead to lower quality sites being accepted and we intend to maintain high quality standards. This is our first post in our weblog for web-links-directory.com The directory will be launched soon. We will be setting up top level categories first then adding subcategories as needed. Feel free to contact us if you would like to suggest categories or would like to contibute. We need editors with experience selecting sites for inclusion. We also need help with programming and web design.
