Neglected but not forgotten

Not much to write about here lately. Still waiting for google to give this site a break. I think the directory must have gotten hammered with some sort of penalty or something. With contantly change algos and the constant battle with spam sites it is no wonder. I have read many forums that offer may theories (some of which seem just plain stupid to me) but few facts with hard evidence to back them up. So as is recommended by  google I think I will focus on users and hope google show me a little more love soon.

I am considering turning the comments feature on for this blog. I think I should install the anti-spam plug-in first. I doubt any useful comments would result anyway. I guess I could post comments myself but that seems sort of pointless since I can simply modify the post. Oh well just a thought. Not too active on here anyway so it doesn’t much matter.

New categories coming soon

Checking into several possible verticle markets to include in the directory. A little research still needs to be completed but here is a short list of markets we are considering.

Several factors need to be weighed to determine the value of adding these resources.

Now accepting top level category link exchanges

Webmasters get more exposure with a top level category exchange. Even if your site fit in a lower level subcategory we will be approving links to help populate the link exchange directory. In some cases we may even copy your link to it’s most relevant subcategory giving you two links for one reciprical. We want our directory to span multiple pages within each category ASAP. Exchanging links

If done properly exchanging links with relevant sites can be a great way to promote a website. If done improperly it can actually cause more harm than good. If it’s worth doing it’s worth doing right.
